UX UI DESIGN: EMPOWERED
Empowered is a period tracking app that aims to empower people to take control of their health, remove stigma related to discussing menstrual matters and provide an effective, streamlined way to track menstrual cycles. Empowered stands for empowering people to take control of their menstrual health and ultimately their bodies. The goal is to take the stigma out of discussing and dealing with menstrual matters - become period positive.
The project involved intensive research, creation of a prioritisation matrix, flow diagrams, wire-framing and user testing.
The app was designed with best practice UI concepts in mind, including those recommended by Google and Apple. The app is also compliant with both WCAG 2.0 AA and GDPR guidelines.
